Trenching

We have been doing trenching since 1970s. Dykkerteknikk has developed a system that allow us to dig pipes and cables without divers from 0m, down to 100m.

The method involves a large volume of water being flushed down into the substrate, and digging a trench under the product by dissolving the masses in the substrate. The system is based on a wheeled construction that is pulled forward by the same water pressure that digs into the substrate.

The machine is lowered with a crane from a vessel and placed on the pipe or cable to be buried. In the event of no or poor visibility, the machine can be landed using sensors. Buried in the bottom protects cables and pipelines against external stresses such as trawling and anchoring. The system will be adapted to meet the customer's requirements and needs.
